Won Life is a registered Non-profit Organisation (NPO) with the vision to serve the community of Fisantekraal with excellent Christian service in the areas of health and education. This vision is carried out through our Community Health Clinic and Early Learning Centre. The Community Health Clinic is visited by approximately 1000 patients / month and offers the following services:

  • HIV & Aids Testing and Counseling
  • Pediatric Primary Health Care
  • Family Planning
  • Tuberculosis Treatment
  • First Aid & Wound Care
  • Health Promotion & Education
  • Anti-natal Clinic

The clinic has been operating without hot water since it’s establishment in 1999.SunScan donated a 150L Low Pressure evacuated tube solar system while plumbing components were donated by Waterstone, De Villiers Drive in Durbanville. The installation was done by Chris & Eric from Freeflow Plumbing and Chas Pearce of SunScan Solar Technologies.

We chose the SunScan 150L low pressure system because:

  • The evacuated tube technology provides the most efficient type of solar heating
  • It has zero running costs – 100% solar
  • It has no moving parts – therefore limited maintenance requirements
  • It is installed with a TMV (thermostatic mixing) valve – water temperature is limited to 55C to prevent scalding

The clinic now has hot water in all 4 examination rooms.
